“On My Own” is a reflection on the emotions and thoughts that come with the loss of loved ones -family members, friends, those who’ve always been there for us. It’s about the fear of having to navigate life’s challenges without their support.

I wrote this song during a visit to my grandma, who has lived alone in her house since my grandpa passed away in 2016 and recorded it on the old piano that my mother used to learn on. The lyrics naturally took on a darker tone, reflecting the state of mind I was in at the time.
